SideMate Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of the services provided by SideMate.
Chapter 1: General Provisions
Article 1 (Purpose)
The purpose of these terms is to define the conditions, procedures, and necessary details for using the offline matching and reservation agency services (hereinafter the "Service") provided by SideMate (hereinafter the "Company").
Article 2 (Effect and Changes)
These terms become effective when posted on the application screen or announced to users. The Company may change these terms within legal limits, and the terms available at the time of your application will apply.
Article 3 (Other Rules)
Any matters not mentioned here follow relevant laws (Consumer Protection Act, etc.) and the Company's guidelines.
Chapter 2: Service Contract and Information
Article 4 (Application and Contract)
The contract is formed when a user enters required information [Name, Age, Gender, Hobbies, KakaoTalk ID, Residence, Nationality, Language] and completes the payment. You must provide real information. Fake data may lead to service restrictions or a lack of protection for matching results.
Article 5 (Privacy Protection)
The Company collects information solely for providing services (group matching, venue info, identity verification). Your contact info (e.g., KakaoTalk ID) is only used for booking confirmations and location guides.
Chapter 3: Services and Refunds
Article 6 (Matching Service)
The Company strives to create the best groups (up to 6 people) based on age, interests, and language. Matching is done by curators, and refunds are not possible based on subjective dissatisfaction.
Article 7 (Cancellation and Refund Policy - IMPORTANT)
To ensure smooth group matching and restaurant bookings, the following rules apply:
1. Cancellation up to 3 days before the meetup: 100% refund.
2. Cancellation 2 days before ~ the day of the meetup / No-show: NO REFUND. (This is to prevent loss of matching opportunities for others and to cover restaurant penalty fees.)
3. If the meetup is canceled due to the Company’s fault or insufficient participants, a 100% refund will be issued.
Chapter 4: User Obligations and Safety
Article 8 (User Obligations)
Users must not engage in behavior that causes discomfort to others (e.g., swearing, sexual harassment, forced drinking, unauthorized filming). If reported, you may be permanently banned from SideMate.
Article 9 (Disclaimer)
The Company is not responsible for cancellations caused by force majeure (e.g., natural disasters, extreme weather). As a matching and booking facilitator, the Company is not liable for personal conflicts or accidents between users during the meetup, unless caused by the Company’s intentional or gross negligence.
